Shaadhka Ali waa uu dhamaaday. Mid cusub ayuu u baahan yahay.
Ali’s shirt is old. He needs a new one.
Wuxuu aadaya suuqa laga dukaameysto si uu dhar cusub u raadiyo.
He goes to the shopping mall to look for new clothes.
Suuqa dhexdhiisa waa uu ka heli la’yahay dukaanka dharka.
In the shopping mall he cannot find the clothing store.
Dukaan ayuu galay si uu tilmaam u weydiisto. “xagee ka iibsan karaa dharka?” ayuu weydiiyey.
He goes into a shop to ask for directions. “Where can I buy clothes?” he asks.
Dukaanlaha ayaa u tilmaamaya dhinaca kale ee suuqa. Dukaanka dharka ayaa ku yaal dhinaca ka soo horjeeda!
The shopkeeper points to the other side of the mall. The clothing store is on the opposite side!
Ali wuu galay dukaanka kadibna shaadh ka raadsaday. Shaadhadhku aad bay ugu weyn yihiin isaga, aadna ayey qaali u yihiin.
Ali goes in and looks for a shirt. The shirts are too big for him, and quite expensive.
Surwaal cusub ayuu iibsanayaa waayo waa iib. Waxa uu go’aansaday in uu shaadhka iibsan doono bisha soo socota marka uu qaato mushaharkiisa.
He buys a new pair of trousers instead because they are on sale. He decides he will buy a shirt next month when he gets his salary.
