मेरा नाम मलिक है और मेरी उम्र 39 साल है। मेरा जन्म अफ़ग़ानिस्तान में हुआ था। मेरा धर्म अफ़ग़ानिस्तान के मुख्य धर्म से अलग है।
My name is Malik and I am 39 years old. I was born in Afghanistan. My religion is different from the main religion in Afghanistan.
कई सालों से मेरे धर्म के लोगों को सताया जा रहा है। यह मेरे परिवार के लिए बहुत मुश्किलों भरा दौर रहा है।
For many years, people who belong to my religion have been persecuted. This has been very difficult for my family.
कुछ साल पहले एक युद्ध हुआ था। मुझे डर था कि मुझे मार दिया जाएगा। मैंने यूरोप जाने और एक नया जीवन शुरू करने के लिए अपना परिवार छोड़ दिया।
A few years ago there was a war. I was afraid I would be killed. I left my family to go to Europe and start a new life.
मैं कई किलोमीटर चला। कभी-कभी मेरे पास खाना नहीं होता था और रहने के लिए कोई जगह नहीं होती थी। जिन लोगों के साथ मैंने यात्रा की उनमें से कुछ की मृत्यु हो गई।
I walked for many kilometres. Sometimes I had no food and nowhere to stay. Some of the people I travelled with died.
आखिरकार मैं पहुँच ही गया। वहाँ मैं अपने देश के कुछ लोगों से मिला, जिन्होंने मेरी मदद की। मुझे नहीं पता कि उनके बिना मेरा क्या होता।
Finally I arrived. I met some people from my own country who helped me. I do not know what I would have done without them.
मैंने उनकी भाषा सीखनी शुरू की, लेकिन यह बहुत मुश्किल था। मैं जानता था कि नौकरी पाने के लिए उनकी भाषा बोलना बहुत ज़रूरी था।
I started to learn the language, but it was hard. I knew that speaking the language was important to get a job.
मैंने पहली बार भाषा सीखने के लिए कई वर्षों तक अध्ययन किया। यह मश्कुल था, लेकिन मुझे नई चीज़ें सीखने में मज़ा आता है।
I studied for several years, at first to learn the language. It was hard, but I enjoy learning new things.
पढ़ाई के बाद मैंने काम करना शुरू किया। पहले मैंने एक रेस्तराँ में काम किया, और फिर मैं एक शिक्षक बन गया क्योंकि मैं दूसरों की मदद करना चाहता हूँ।
After studying I started working. First I worked in a restaurant, and then I became a teacher because I want to help others.
मैं एक दिन अफ़ग़ानिस्तान वापस जाने की उम्मीद करता हूँ। वहाँ कई लोगों को मदद की ज़रूरत है और मैं उनकी मदद करना चाहता हूँ।
I hope to go back to Afghanistan one day. Many people there need help, and I want to help them.
