ناوم مه‌لیکه‌ و ته‌مه‌نم ٣٩ ساڵە. من له‌ ئه‌فغانستان له‌دایک بووم. ئاینم جیاوازه‌ له‌ ئاینی سه‌ره‌کی له‌ ئه‌فغانستان.

My name is Malik and I am 39 years old. I was born in Afghanistan. My religion is different from the main religion in Afghanistan.

بۆ چه‌ندین ساڵ ئه‌و خه‌ڵکه‌ی سه‌ر به‌ هه‌مان ئاینی منن چەوسێندراونەتەوە. ئه‌وه‌ زۆر سه‌خت بووه‌ بۆ خێزانه‌که‌ی من.

For many years, people who belong to my religion have been persecuted. This has been very difficult for my family.

به‌ر له‌ چه‌ند ساڵێک شه‌ڕێک ڕوویدا. ده‌ترسام که‌ بکوژرێم. من خێزانه‌که‌م به‌جێهێشت تا بچمه‌ ئه‌وروپا و ژیانێکی نوێ ده‌ست پێبکه‌م.

A few years ago there was a war. I was afraid I would be killed. I left my family to go to Europe and start a new life.

چه‌ندین کیلۆمه‌تر به‌پێ ڕۆیشتم. هه‌ندێکجار هیچ خواردنێک و جێگای مانه‌وه‌م نه‌بوو. هه‌ندێک له‌و خه‌ڵکه‌ی گه‌شتم له‌گه‌ڵیان کرد مردن.

I walked for many kilometres. Sometimes I had no food and nowhere to stay. Some of the people I travelled with died.

له‌کۆتاییدا گه‌یشتم. هه‌ندێک خه‌ڵکم بینی له‌ وڵاته‌که‌ی خۆمه‌وه‌ هاتبوون یارمه‌تیاندام. نازانم ئه‌وان نەبوونایە چیم بکردایە.

Finally I arrived. I met some people from my own country who helped me. I do not know what I would have done without them.

ده‌ستم کرد به‌ فێربوونی زمانه‌که‌، به‌ڵام ئه‌وه‌ قورس بوو. ده‌مزانی قسه‌کردن به‌و زمانه‌ گرنگ بوو تا کارێکم ده‌ست بکه‌وێت.

I started to learn the language, but it was hard. I knew that speaking the language was important to get a job.

من بۆ چه‌ند ساڵێک خوێندم، سه‌ره‌تا بۆ فێربوونی زمانه‌که‌. ئه‌وه‌ زه‌حمه‌ت بوو، به‌ڵام من خۆشی ده‌بینم له‌ فێربوونی شتی نوێ.

I studied for several years, at first to learn the language. It was hard, but I enjoy learning new things.

دوای خوێندن ده‌ستمکرد به‌ کارکردن. سه‌ره‌تا له‌ خواردنگەیەک کارم کرد، دواتر بووم بە مامۆستا چونکه‌ ده‌مه‌وێت یارمه‌تی ئه‌وانی تر بده‌م.

After studying I started working. First I worked in a restaurant, and then I became a teacher because I want to help others.

هیوادارم ڕۆژێک بگه‌ڕێمه‌وه‌ ئه‌فغانستان. خه‌ڵکێکی زۆر له‌وێ پێویستیان به‌ یارمه‌تییه‌، منیش ده‌مه‌وێ یارمه‌تیان بده‌م.

I hope to go back to Afghanistan one day. Many people there need help, and I want to help them.
