Jina langu ni Malik na nina umri wa miaka 39. Nilizaliwa huko Afghanistan. Dini yangu ni tofauti na dini kuu ya Afghanistan.

My name is Malik and I am 39 years old. I was born in Afghanistan. My religion is different from the main religion in Afghanistan.

Je m’appelle Malik et j’ai 39 ans. Je suis né en Afghanistan. Ma religion est différente de la religion principale en Afghanistan.

Kwa miaka mingi, watu wa dini yangu wamekuwa wakiteswa. Hii imekuwa ni changamoto kubwa sana kwa familia yangu.

For many years, people who belong to my religion have been persecuted. This has been very difficult for my family.

Pendant des années, les personnes appartenant à ma religion ont été persécutées. Cela a été très difficile pour ma famille.

Miaka michache iliyopita kulikuwa na vita. Nilikuwa na hofu kwamba ningeuwawa. Niliiacha familia yangu na kwenda Ulaya na kuanza maisha mapya.

A few years ago there was a war. I was afraid I would be killed. I left my family to go to Europe and start a new life.

Il y a eu une guerre il y a quelques années. J’avais peur de me faire tuer. J’ai quitté ma famille pour aller en Europe et commencer une nouvelle vie.

Nilitembea kwa kilomita nyingi na wakati mwingine sikuwa na chakula wala sehemu ya kukaa. Baadhi ya watu niliosafiri nao walifariki.

I walked for many kilometres. Sometimes I had no food and nowhere to stay. Some of the people I travelled with died.

J’ai marché beaucoup de kilomètres. Parfois, je n’avais pas de nourriture et nulle part où aller. Certaines personnes avec qui j’ai voyagé sont mortes.

Hatimaye nilifika Ulaya. Nilikutana na watu kutoka kwenye nchi yangu ambao walinisaidia. Sifahamu ningelifanya nini bila wao.

Finally I arrived. I met some people from my own country who helped me. I do not know what I would have done without them.

Enfin, je suis arrivé. J’ai rencontré des personnes de mon propre pays qui m’ont aidé. Je ne sais pas ce que j’aurais fait sans eux.

Nilianza kujifunza lugha, lakini ilikuwa ngumu. Nilijua kwamba kuongea lugha hiyo ilikuwa muhimu katika kupata kazi.

I started to learn the language, but it was hard. I knew that speaking the language was important to get a job.

J’ai commencé à apprendre la langue, mais c’était difficile. Je savais que parler la langue était important pour avoir un travail.

Nilijifunza kwa miaka kadhaa, cha kwanza kabisa ni kujifunza lugha. Ilikuwa ngumu, lakini ninafurahi kujifunza mambo mapya.

I studied for several years, at first to learn the language. It was hard, but I enjoy learning new things.

J’ai étudié pendant plusieurs années, au départ pour apprendre la langue. C’était difficile, mais j’aime apprendre de nouvelles choses.

Baada ya kujifunza, nikaanza kufanya kazi. Kwanza nilifanya kazi katika mgahawa, na kisha nikawa mwalimu kwa sababu ninataka kusaidia wengine.

After studying I started working. First I worked in a restaurant, and then I became a teacher because I want to help others.

Après avoir étudié, j’ai commencé à travailler. Au départ j’ai travaillé dans un restaurant, puis je suis devenu un professeur parce que je veux aider les autres.

Ninatumaini kuwa siku moja nitarejea Afghanistan. Watu wengi huko wanahitaji msaada na ninataka kuwasaidia.

I hope to go back to Afghanistan one day. Many people there need help, and I want to help them.

J’espère revenir en Afghanistan un jour. Beaucoup de personnes là-bas ont besoin d’aide, et je veux les aider.
